Recommended trips include:

The Alhambra which is a series of gardens and fountains with views of Spain’s highest mountain range – Sierra Nevada. In the centre stands the great Charles V Palace.

Seville has many historical sights to check out. La Casa de Pilotos dates back to 1529 designed from Genoan craftsmen. It’s housed many subsequent owners of the past. It contains four famous statues. Three roman statues – Depicting Minerva, A Dancing Muse, and Ceres. The fourth statue is a Greek original that dates back to the 5th century BC! The Alcazar 1360 was home to King Pedro the Cruel of Caslile. There is also a cathedral which originates to the 12th century. The Christian architects added amendments to give the central nave a 42 meter height. It’s also the largest church in the world!

The Mezquita in Cordoba dates back to the 10th Centuary. The great mosque is a splendour of amazing architecture. This does require a 6 euro entrance fee.

Alcazaba in Malaga have fortresses that date back to 700’s. A walk through the gateway known as ‘Fuerta del Christo (Christs’ door) leads to many beautiful gardens and fountains of which you can catch some wonderful views of the town and harbour.

Nerja near Malaga used to be a fishing village. It’s one of few towns which keeps it’s authenticity by no cluttered hotels and developments. The ‘Balcon de Europa’ is a cliff promenade offering panoramic views of the Mediterranean sea and coastlines with a distant vision of the mountains. The towns monument is a 17th century church of ‘El Salvador’. There are caves 3km from the centre that include archaeological paintings which are 20,000 years old! The cuisine is highly recommended and there are an array of delightful restaurants to fulfil any pallet.
